there is something with NKE that associates itself with the masa of the students. their image is that of a progressive, deviationists, and struggling against the status quo fo our system in UP Cebu.
experience based, i could say that the top two positions of the UPS is better than that of the NKE.
although i have biases against UPS, or particularly those two who were vying for the top positions, i could say i would salute their ability in managing affairs, and of managing activities. i could attest this since i happen to be classmates of the two, and they were effective as leaders.
a bias i have against them is that they somewhat represent the elite part of this institution. i am not saying that it is wrong, but what i am trying to point out is that: could they really represent those students whom i think belong to the majority -- those people who doesn't give a d**n or doesn't care whatever activities this school or the student council have?
that question also goes to those persons who won the election. would they represent the silent majority? would they serve the students? or would they serve their party?
