Team USA looks good... PG Marbury SG Iverson SF Marion Pf Stoudemire C Duncan PG Wade SG James SF Anthony/Jefferson PF Odom/Boozer C Okafor This team will play well under Larry Brown and Pop and they will win the gold. They will make the USA proud and win over alot of fans with their style of play. This team is going to be fun to watch and their youth will allow them a chance to play with alot of emotion and energy. What can u say guyz?

i beg to disagree..a lot of these guys are mere substitutes of the original line up..it is for this fact that USA have bigger chances of losing especially to the European squads!! it would have been great if ben wallace, mcgrady, shaq, ray allen and kobe were on that line up!! TEAM USA is totally a mediocre..now, am i ryt??

DiRtBaG : I don't think it would be an easy call for the european squad to defeat this team. Well, yes they we're just mere substitutes for the original team.. but think about the last NBA Finals, lakers have one of the best coach, best players! You don't have to capture the best players to win the game.. it takes pride and honor for them play.. lastly, invitations for the team are for All-Star or near All-star players..

hey!! im not sayin that US wont win the gold..wat im trying to insinuate is.. its going to be a tough battle for the team..!! i can assure you that there wont be any showtime, hangtime or whatsoever...its gonna be dirty and at times ugly!! I believe in these guys talents..no question bout that but i still do believe on experience!! with this kind of line up..its never gonna be a walk in the park!!

with extremely talented players like LeBron and Iverson, you're saying that their won't be any showtime, hangtime or whatsoever? duh!!! i'm even imaginin' ryt now LeBron issuing a no-look pass to Tim Duncan ,with Duncan dunkin' it with authority as if to say "the GOLD is ours! there's no way you can get it away from us!"...Although they lack some outside firepower, and as you've said experience, they're still the team to beat, with their speed, versatility, exceptional basketball skills and athleticism...there's no question 'bout the oppossing teams' playin' dirty, but these guys are use to it! it's nothin new so whats the prob? they're expecting it! as the team to beat! a lot of teams are itching to get a piece of them! and when the smoke clears, the gold medals will be hanging around these guyz' necks! with the Star Spangled Banner playing in the Background!

now let's tone down a little bit..seems lyk emotions are getting high around here...!! first and foremost, i need some "reading between the lines"!! when i say there's no hangtime, showtime and whatsoever.., i didn't mean to say that there's no american highlight in each and every game..what im tryin to point out is the fact that this team is going to take every single opponent seriously..with the quality of the line-up, Larry Brown is expected to advise his players to run the plays accordingly and to avoid, if not, minimize getting too fancy!! ok..let me get this thing straight once and for all..TEAM USA is vulnerable but they do have a great chance of winning if and only if...(you know whats next..do i have to say this?? nah!! its up to you!!) .. now, CAN I GET A LAY-UP?? hahahaha..you wish!!

Ok! Ok! Ok! ur ryt that they will take the opposition seriously but u have to remember that fancy plays are part of their game man! that's the way the americans play the game! , but as much as possible ur ryt that they will try to be more cautious with the ball... yup they're vulnerable, who says they're not? , they're just humans ya knw! it was proven a lot of times that they can be beaten...but then again i can assure you that they will sweep the opposition with an average margin of 20+ points! what? emotions r gettin high?hahaha!!! maybe urs but not mine!!! this is just me ya knw!!! m just tryin to stress some points!!! LAY-UP? Lay-up ka dyan!!!hahaha!!! ;D and what about u sayin that TEAM USA is totally a mediocre, huh? maybe ur comments but not TEAM USA!!! ;D NUFF SAID!!! PEACE!!!

NIGHTMARE: U.S. men's team falls Hot-shooting Italy stuns Americans in exhibition
COLOGNE, Germany - The U.S. men’s Olympic team did more than merely lose. It was embarrassed and exposed like never before in international competition.
Losing an exhibition game for the first time when using NBA players, the Americans were completely outclassed by lightly regarded Italy, never even making it close in the fourth quarter of a 95-78 upset Tuesday.
“This is a wakeup call for us,” Philadelphia 76ers star Allen Iverson said. “I think we need something like this to understand it’s not going to be easy.”
The Americans were sloppy with the ball and couldn’t handle Italy’s zone defenses and 3-point shooting. Italy not only made 15 from behind the arc but also showed superior ball movement and poise in handing the Americans their most lopsided defeat since pros began competing in 1992.
“They’re going to be in for a lot of lessons for the next few weeks,” U.S. coach Larry Brown said. “It’s a young team, and it’s a different game internationally.”
Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony led the Americans with 19 points, and two-time NBA MVP Tim Duncan added 15 points and a team-high 10 rebounds.
